Growing self-esteem in children, especially teenagers must start early, don't let them grow up, our children grow up to be someone who is insecure, moody and hard to get along with, of course this is not expected by us parents, this is where the role of parents is needed to build positive self-image which in turn will form high social intelligence in children.
We should as parents educate our children wisely so that children grow and develop into a formidable figure who is expected to become a family pride.
The role of parents in efforts to foster children's self-esteem:
1. Gives great hope to the child that he is able to do positive things that he aspires to by giving guidance in setting goals. Embed the true purpose of life that life is worship so that all desires and aspirations are based on the purpose of worshiping the Khaliq and fellow human beings.
2. Get used to making plans in the process of achieving goals, help the child in identifying important things that must be done, thus the child becomes trained to be responsible for the success and failure of a goal.
3. Take the time to pay enough attention to the child, wisely answer all questions including listening to all complaints and obstacles he faces in achieving his goals, evaluating together with the child for everything that has been done and do not forget to give praise and appreciation of all achievements referred to by the child.
4. Give motivation as an encouragement in the process of achieving goals, motivation is a positive energy that will encourage children to continue to be passionate in self-development and achieve their goals.
Children are entrusted with the almighty, not only are we trusted to be entrusted if they are not given the power to safeguard the deposit.
